About Us
About Us
Kent Sinfonia was originally founded in 1962 by Béla de Csilléry, achieving charitable status and becoming fully professional in 1995. Making classical music accessible and sharing it with everyone across the County of Kent, and beyond, is the orchestra's core objective, particularly in those areas where there are currently no conventional entertainment venues. So, to create the magic and inspiration that classical music can bring, our performances take place in a fascinating variety of spaces, including wonderful heritage sites such as castles and historic churches - all so plentiful in Kent.
